GN Internship Program
Hey all!
Just found my youth group's website. Awesome. It took me an hour to figure out who was who. LOL.
I found out that they have something called the GN Internship Program at my church. It's a one-year commitment that raises up future leaders. Here's the requirements:
High School Internship Program
9th-12th Grade(one-year commitment)
1. Complete all 5 TRACKS
2. Faithfully leading or attending a 3. 3. FUSION
4. Faithfully serving HOP in some capacity
5. Leading or taking responsibility for different functions of the Wednesday night youth service
6. Faithfully attending all church and youth functions
7. Participate in all local outreach and mission work with the youth
8. Be in good standing with all authority figures in your life
9. Maintain acceptable GPA in school
9. Attend all Intern meetings
10. Attend Wednesday Intercessory Prayer @ 6:15
11. Pray and read Bible at least 1 hour each day
12. Attend 1 overseas missions trip per year
13. Set the example for your peers in live, purity, love and in faith.
Ways to be dismissed:
1. Not fulfilling the duties, standards, and commitments of the internship program
2. Participating in or condoning activities not appropriate for a GN Intern or a Christian
4. Having an unacceptable GPA in school
5. Harboring an inappropriate attitude towards HOP, Generation Now or any of its leadership
6. Illness that may keep you from performing your duties (you can return and be reinstated when you are ready)
Then you have to fill out the application, which asks you all the stuff like when you accepted Jesus. Then there are 4 other things that you have to turn in with the application:
3 personal references typed and returned to the Youth Pastor sealed in an envelope
A 1-page typed letter on why you want to be a part of the Internship Program.
A personal reference from your Fusion leader
Full consent and signature from parents commiting them to help you be successful in this program
I pretty much do all of that. Well, I gots to go. Until!
Love in Christ,
All His own,
(:Emily:)
